Calculation Traces

You can use the Calculation Tracer (also referred to as the 'Calc Tracer') to determine all the original inputs and the calculation path for a specific data value. A calculation trace shows how the system calculated the value, including the data used, the source of that data, and, if applicable, the arithmetic or mathematical operations used. Calculation traces can be useful for users who review and authorise data, and for auditing and troubleshooting.

Clicking the calculator icon opens the Calculation Tracer screen in a new browser tab, with the trace criteria for the selected value already populated.

You can also access the Calculation Tracer from the Admin primary menu item.
