SSRS Reports

SSRS reports provide a set of standard, system-focused reports used primarily by administrators and support teams. These reports are generated using the SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) engine and support system monitoring, audit tracking, configuration documentation, and data export functions.

Examples include:

  • Portal Access Report—Displays user login and logout activity.
  • System Log Report—Displays the Production Accounting system log.
  • Logsheet and Discrete Unit Data Audit reports—Track changes to production data for audit purposes.
  • General Data Export and Time Series Export reports—Allow bulk export of system data to Excel.
  • As Built Documentation reports—Present tag and calculation configurations as defined in the Configuration Design Matrix (CDM).

See Standard SSRS reports for more information about each report.

Note: SSRS reports are separate from the reporting options available in Production Accounting Analytics, which support production performance analysis and operational monitoring. See Analytics Reports and Dashboards.

Using the SSRS interface

When working with SSRS reports, be aware of the following:

  • If your web browser has been inactive for a period of time, your SSRS session may have expired, in which case an error message displays. Select the report from the primary and sub-menu again to reload the screen.
  • When you export a report, wait for the export to finish before you make any changes on the report screen or navigate to a different report or screen. Changes made to your screen may affect the exported content.

Report navigation

Depending on your Production Accounting configuration, SSRS reports may be located under the Reports and/or Admin menu items.

SSRS report parameters

At the top of each SSRS report screen are the report parameters. The parameters may include date selectors and drop-down lists.

Reports may have default parameter values. For example, a date range with a start date that defaults to the first day of the month, or a date parameter that defaults to yesterday’s date. Some parameters show only the date, others show the date and time. You can modify the parameter values as required before running a report.

Multi-select lists in report parameters allow you to report on a specific subset of Production Accounting objects and locations. Select All can be used to select all items in a drop-down list.
