Retest a data authorisation process

Sometimes an authorisation process remains 'blocked' or otherwise stuck, even after you have fixed validation rule errors or approved processes on which the process is dependent. If this issue occurs, you can try to fix the problem using the Retest feature.

An authorisation process may also remain blocked if:

  • A system restart interrupted the processing of data authorisation processes.
  • The automated notification system triggered the process or a process stage before the server finished updating the authorisation status 'tags' for its related or dependent processes.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the required Authorise screen.
  2. Find the required authorisation process in the list.

    Note: Use the navigation links below the list to move between pages or enter a numeric date search term in the Quick Search box and click Search.

  3. To retest an individual process, in its Administer column, click the retest icon. Retest icon
  4. To retest all processes on the current list page, click Retest All below the list.

    The Production Accounting application checks for updates. When the screen reloads, the Status of a retested process may change. For example, the process may move to a different stage in the workflow, or if the retest caused the process to complete, the process is no longer shown in the list.

Note: If a blocked authorisation process cannot be unblocked using Retest, please contact Datamine Support.
