Add New Stockpile
Activity Steps
- Open the Stockpile Management Screen.
- Click the Add Stockpile link at the top of the screen.
The Add Stockpile form displays.
- Complete the following fields as required:
- Stockpile Name – Name used for analysis and reporting.
- Alternative Name – Name used in external systems such as dispatch systems or mine plans.
- External System ID – System identifier (or 'key') referenced by external systems that import stockpile data.
- Material Type – Material type used for movement resolution when resolving by destination; for example, Ore, Waste or other specific types configured in your Reconcilor environment. Required field; used to define metrics such as stockpiling and waste movement, and to identify haulage misclassifications.
- Lithology Type – Lithology type used for movement resolution when resolving by destination.
- Location – Physical location of the stockpile. Assigning a location supports filtering and improves data display.
- Stockpile Group – Stockpile group to which the stockpile belongs.
- Algorithm Type – Stockpile modelling algorithm. Default: Average. See Stockpile Algorithms.
- In the Opening Details section, complete the following fields as required:
Note: Ensure the stockpile is open at least one shift before movements are added or reclaimed.
- Opening Date – Required for the stockpile to accept movement data.
- Opening Shift – Required for the stockpile to accept movement data.
- Wet Tonnes – Moisture (H2O%) is used to calculate dry tonnes.
- Volume – Volume multiplied by SG (density) calculates wet tonnes.
- Attributes, as required.
Note: Tonnes, volume, and grade can remain blank for new stockpiles that will be built from movement data. For historical stockpiles, best estimates for opening tonnes and grade are required. Wet Tonnes, Volume, and SG are mandatory for historical stockpiles.
- In the Closing Details section, complete the following fields as required:
- Closing Date – Sets the stockpile status to closed as of this date. No further movements can build or deplete the stockpile. Movement data sent to a closed stockpile causes a validation error.
- Closing Shift
- Click Save.
A Stockpile created message displays and the stockpile is added to the list on the Stockpile Management screen.
Note: If the stockpile fails validation and cannot be saved, a validation message displays. See Stockpile Validations.
