Add Stockpile Balance Algorithm

Activity Steps

1. Open the Stockpile Balance Algorithms form for a stockpile. See View Stockpile Balance Algorithm.
2. Click Add Algorithm.

   The Add Stockpile Balance Algorithm form displays.

3. Complete the following fields as required:
   • Algorithm Type – See Stockpile Algorithms for more information on algorithm types. Select from:
     • Average
     • FIFO
     • LIFO
     • LIFO-Average
     • LIFO-Configured – If selected, enter a value for LIFO-Configured Look Back Days (below).
   • Start Date
   • Start Shift
   • End Date
   • End Shift
   • LIFO-Configured Look Back Days – Displays only if the Algorithm Type is LIFO-Configured. Enter the number of days. This value should be defined by expected frequency of additions to the stockpile. For example, if a stockpile routinely has no additions for two days, then the configured period should be greater than two days.
4. Click Save.

   A Stockpile Balance Algorithm Created message displays and the algorithm is added to the list on the Stockpile Balance Algorithms form.

   Note: If the algorithm fails validation and cannot be saved, a validation message displays. See Stockpile Balance Algorithm Validations.
