Create Orientation Sets

Orientation sets contain sets of discontinuities that have similar orientation in terms of dip angle/dip direction or trend/plunge.

To create orientation sets, you must have created an analysis set. See Create an Analysis Set.

Activity Steps

1. Select the analysis set in the Project Tree.

   Note: To be able to create orientation sets, the selected analysis set must have at least 12 discontinuities, with at least two orientations.

2. Open the Analysis menu.
3. Select Create Orientation Sets from the Analysis field group.

   The Create Orientation Sets window displays.

4. Set the Number Of Orientation Sets.
5. Select whether to Remove Outliers.
6. Set the Max orientation between discontinuities.
7. Click Ok.

   New orientation sets display under the Orientation Sets section in the Project Tree.
