Configure Schema Properties

Schemas are created and edited with the Schema Editor, which can be accessed through the Analysis Menu. After creating a schema, you can configure the schema's properties and then Select a Schema for use in your current project.

Activity Steps

1. Click Edit Schemas in the Schema Tools group of the Analysis menu.

   The Schema Editor window displays.

2. Select a schema from the Select Schema to Edit menu.
3. Select an entry from the Edit Schema section.
4. Edit the following properties in the Selected Entry Properties section as required.
   • Appearance field group:
     • DataType – Select from String and Number.
     • DefaultValue – Automatically updates to the first value added to Strings. This can be changed to be any Strings value.
     • Name – Entry name.
     • Strings – Only available if String is selected as the DataType. List of all valid values. Click the ellipsis (...) to open the String Collection Editor. Write each possible value on an individual line in the String Collection Editor and click OK.
