Bridge Two Traces

You can bridge two traces to map two separate discontinuities that you suspect should be one single discontinuity. In this situation, part of the discontinuity may disappear behind the surface of the 3D image, then reappear in another area on the rock face.

Activity Steps

1. Open the Mapping menu.
2. Select Bridge Two Traces in the Planes menu group.
3. Left-click the first trace on the 3D image in the Image Viewer.
4. Left-click the second trace.

   The two traces are merged into a single trace.
