Add a Survey Line

Survey lines can be used to calculate the length of the line you map on the 3D image in the Image Viewer. The line may be used as a reference line or to measure the distance from one point to another. Also see View and Configure Survey Properties.

Activity Steps

1. Open the Mapping menu.
2. Select Survey Line in the Survey field group. Keyboard shortcut: F4.
3. Left-click the 3D image to begin drawing a survey line.
4. Continue left-clicking to create more points every time the survey line needs to change direction.
5. Right-click the final point to complete the survey line.
