Add a Scanline

Scanlines can be added to your 3D image to group and analyse discontinuities. Scanlines can be added to the 3D image in the Image Viewer from the Mapping Menu.

Activity Steps

1. Open the Mapping menu.
2. Select Scanline in the Domain menu group.
3. Left-click the 3D image to plot the first point of the scanline.
4. Left-click the 3D image again to plot the last point of the scanline.

   A 3D box displays around the scanline.

   The scanline can be selected under the Traverses section in the Project Tree.

   Note: If any discontinuity traverses the scanline, but terminates outside of this censor box, it is called a 'Censored Discontinuity'.
