Set Default Domain Characteristics for Entire 3D Image
One way to set up domains with geotechnical characteristics for Stability Analysis is to set the characteristics to the whole 3D image. This method treats the entire 3D image as a single domain. These setting act as defaults, but some can be overridden for individual analysis sets, if required.
Activity Steps
- Click anywhere on the 3D image in the Image Viewer.
- Navigate to the Geotechnical field group in the Properties Tab.
- Configure the following options as required.
- FoS Cutoff – Factor of Safety Cutoff. Default: 1.10.
- Cohesion – Applied to orientation sets. Default: 0.00.
- Friction Angle – Critical friction angle applied to orientation sets. Default: 20.0.
- Show Blocks – Whether to show ALL or Kinematically Free blocks in the 3D image. Default: Kinematically Free.
- Rock Density – Rock density applied to the whole image domain (Kg/m). Default: 2500.
