View Kinematic Blocks

The Kinematic Blocks tool, in the Mineral section of the Analysis Menu can be used to show an hide wedges or blocks that are stable without friction. The tool also colours blocks, depending on their stability.

Note: You must have at least one entry under the Kinematic Sets section of the Project Tree to be able to view kinematic blocks. Kinematic Sets are created when you performe a Stability Analysis.

Activity Steps

1. Select a Wedge, Wedge Analysis, Block Analysis or the entire Kinematic Sets section of the Project Tree, depending on which kinematic blocks you want to display.
2. Toggle the Kinematic Blocks button in the Mapping Menu on and off to show and hide the blocks that are stable without friction.

   The selected Kinematic Sets are coloured in both the Image Viewer and the Stereo Plot Tab, depending on their stability.

   • Red – Unstable.
   • Orange – Stable with friction.
   • Green – Stable without friction.
