Specify Block Model Parameters

This dialog determines the model origin, cell size and the number of cells in each axis, in file imported using the ODBC or Text drivers. You can either specify these values directly, or specify a separate file containing this information. The choice of how these key fields are defined affects the display of dialogs throughout the import process.

  1. Choose whether to specify model parameters manually, or extract them from a file.

    1. If specifying parameters, manually:

      1. Enter the world coordinates of the Model Origin.

      2. Define the model Block Size to use along each major axis.

      3. Define the Number of Cells along each of the major axes.

    2. If extracting values from a file:

      1. Select From Database.

The Select Data Source screen displays.

      2. Choose between a File Data Source and a Machine Data Source. See Select Data Source.

      3. Select the file and, if requested, the database table item from which to extract data.

      4. If possible, parameters are extracted from the selected object. Model Origin, Block Size and Number of Cells parameters are automatically filled in.

  2. With model parameters specified, click OK.

The Select Data Source screen displays.

  3. Choose between a File Data Source and a Machine Data Source. See Select Data Source.

  4. Select the file and, if requested, the database table item from which to extract data.

  5. Select one or more database tables from which to extract data.

  6. Define the block model object parameters using the Block Model (XYZ) Data screen.

  7. Click OK.

    The Import Files screen displays.
