Read Drawing File
This screen is displayed when importing files with the CAD Driver category and either the points, strings or wireframe data type. It is used to define how layers in the incoming CAD file are interpreted during the import process.
Note: The fields displayed in this dialog will vary, depending on the type of incoming data.

In the Data Import dialog, select the CAD Driver Category.

Select any AutoCAD Data Type.

Choose which CAD layers to import:

Select Load All Layers to attempt to import every layer detected in the incoming file.

Deselect Load All Layers to pick the layers in the external file to import. All available layers are listed.

Optionally, enable Include Frozen Layers. Layers exported from AutoDesk as 'Frozen' will be imported as they were at the point of export.

For points data, choose if an annotation column will be added during import by selecting or unselecting Add Annotation Column.

If hatch-fill information is present in the incoming file, it can be imported as spline data by selecting Include Hatches. Otherwise, this data is ignored and will not be imported.

Review the file information at the bottom of the screen.

Click OK.
- If importing a file to a Studio project, the Import Files screen displays.

Use the Import Files screen:

Choose which Files to create and associate with your project.

Confirm the Import Fields for this operation.

If required, choose how to Rename Fields during import.

Click OK.
Files references are added to the project.
