The Common Point Clouds driver category contains drivers belonging to the PDAL (Point Data Abstraction Library). These drivers are used for importing point cloud data, or any 2D or 3D point matrix that represents a geological or geotechnical structure.

  • Text File (*.txt)

  • Tile Index File (*.tindex)

To access this driver:

  1. Display the Data Import screen. This screen is displayed when import-loading and when adding a file association to the current project. In all cases, functions are found on the Data ribbon.

  2. Select the Common Point CloudsDriver Category and the Points Data Type.
