Import Datamine Plot File
This dialog is used to control how Datamine plot files are imported.
Activity steps

Review the Database file description.

Choose the plot file Layers to import. All individual layer entities detected in the imported file are listed.

If the incoming file supports symbol data, this can be loaded by selecting Load Symbols. Otherwise, no symbol data is imported.

To choose how character data is treated during import, choose an option from the Load Characters menu:

No: character data is filtered during import.

As Strokes: character data is imported independent of pixel (point) data.

As Strings: character data is imported as strings.

As Strokes and Strings: a combination of the above methods is used to import character data.

To add a plot title as part of the import process:

Select Label Plot

Select one of 9 general Positions for the label.

If you want to use the current plot file name for the title, select Use Plot File Title. Otherwise, unselect it and enter your own Title below.

Choose the origin and orientation of your plot in the 3D window:

To set the position and orientation of your plot file in the 3D window when it is loaded:

Select Custom Orientation.

Choose the central origin of the plot file by specifying your own coordinate values.

If required, enter a custom Azimuth and Dip for your plot data.

To load your plot file at 0, 0, 0 in the 3D world, at a 0 azimuth and dip, leave Custom Orientation unselected.

Click OK to import your plot file.
