Table Editor Menus

All Table Editor commands are accessible through the following menu options:

File Menu

New

Ctrl+N

Create a new, empty table.

Open

Ctrl+O

Open an existing table.

Save

Ctrl+S

Save the current table.

Save As

 

 

Save the current table with a new name or to a new location.

Load Definition

 

 

Load a predefined Datamine table definition.

Save Definition As

 

 

Save the current definition with a new name or to a new location.

Open CSV

 

Ctrl+Shift+O

Open a comma separated variable (csv) format table.

Save as CSV

 

Ctrl+Shift+S

Save the current table in csv format.

Print

Ctrl+P

Print the table.

Print Preview

 

View the table as it would be printed.

Print Setup

 

 

Select printer, set orientation and margins etc. for printing.

Send To

 

Send the table to another user or location by email.

Properties

Alt+Enter

View and edit the table properties.

Exit

 

 

Close the table editor.

Undo

Ctrl+Z

Undo the last change.

Redo

Ctrl+Y

Redo the last action to have been undone.

Cut

Ctrl+X

Cut the selected data to the clipboard from the table.

Copy

Ctrl+C

Copy the selected data to the clipboard.

Paste

Ctrl+V

Paste the data from the clipboard to the selected location.

Fill

Down

Ctrl+D

Fill all cells below the selected cell with its value.

 

Right

Ctrl+R

Fill all cells to the right of the selected cell with its value.

 

Up

 

Fill all cells above the selected cell with its value.

 

Left

 

Fill all cells to the left of the selected cell with its value.

Clear

Delete

Delete the contents of the selected cell(s).

Delete Record

 

Deletes the selected row/record.

Delete Column

 

Deletes the selected column/field.

Select All

 

Ctrl+A

Select all the data in the loaded table.

Find

Ctrl+F

Find a specified value in the table.

Find Next

F3

Find the next instance of that specified value.

Find Prev

F4

Find the previous instance of that specified value.

Replace

 

Replace a specific value with another specific value.

Go To

Absolute

 

Ctrl+G

Move to a specific cell. In the dialog, choose the record number and the column name.

 

Move First

 

Move to the first record.

 

Move Prev

 

Move to the previous record.

 

Move Next

 

Move to the next record.

 

Move Last

 

Move to the last record.

Clear to Default Values

 

Toggle which works with Clear command.

Off - Clear deletes cell contents.

On - Clear replaces current values with default values.

Toggle Precision

 

 

Toggles loaded data between single and extended precision.

Shift+Alt+R

Inserts a new record above the record currently selected.

Column

Shift+Alt+C

Inserts a new column to the left of that currently selected. These can be alphanumeric or numeric, and must adhere to the restrictions described below:

  • Columns must not start with the following characters: "*", "&", "@", "!", "?", ".".

  • Columns must not contain spaces, or the following characters: ",", "!", " :", "*", "&", "=", "()".
