Mine Design Settings
To access this dialog:
-
In the Project Settings dialog, select the Mine Design tab.
This screen, part of the Project Settings dialog, is used to determine how pit designing is performed and contains the following fields:
Field Details:
Drive Linking: these controls are used to manage how underground design drive strings are created and used.
Keep cross section strings: turn on or off the retaining of drive cross-sectional perimeters.
Scripting notes: during use of the link-complete-drive or link-drive-ends command, cross-sectional perimeters are created at each point along the drive control string, and are used to make a wireframe model of that drive. This toggle controls whether or not these cross- sectional perimeters are left resident in memory. |
Generate wall strings: turn on or off the generation of wall strings during drive linking.
Scripting notes: during use of the link-complete-drive or link-drive-ends commands, left, right and centreline-roof strings may be created in addition to the wireframe model of the underground drive. These strings may be very useful for design and layout purposes. If this toggle is turned on then these wall strings will be left in memory, together with the original drive control string. They may be saved to file by using the write-all-strings command. |
Evaluate drive against model: Turn on or off drive evaluation against a block model.
Scripting notes: if turned on, and a block model is open, then when using the link-complete-drive or link-drive-ends commands, the resultant new wireframe model of the drive will be evaluated against the block model, using any current grade category filters. Regardless of this switch, the overall drive volume and tonnage will always be written out to the drive statistics file. |
Cross Section/Roof/Wall colour: pick a colour for each design element.
Ramp segment length: this button activates the Ramp Segment Length dialog.
Evaluation Control: these controls are used to manage how underground design drive strings are created and used.
Evaluate Block Model: turn on the use of the cell model in evaluations. If turned on, the evaluation commands will use the open cell model as the data source. You can either select this option or Evaluate drillholes (see below).
Evaluate Drillholes: turn on the use of drillholes in evaluations. If turned on, the evaluation commands will use the (filtered) drillholes as the data source. You can either select this option or Evaluate Block Model (see above)
Full cell evaluation: if this check box is enabled then evaluations against block models are done using full cell evaluation. That is, cells are considered to be wholly inside or outside the wireframe. If a cell has more than 50 percent of its volume inside the wireframe it is treated as being included and all its volume is evaluated.
Use Display Legend: Select this option to evaluate drillholes or block models using the currently set display legend for the drillholes or block model object. Clear this option to use the legend listed in Legend Name for evaluation purposes.
Legend Name: If Use Display Legend is cleared, select a legend from the drop-down which will be used for evaluation purposes.
Evaluations are always performed using legends. The evaluation legend that is used can either be the legend being used for the display (default) or another legend that is selected from the Legend Name from the drop-down list (See above for an explanation of these dialog fields). |
