Description

Select drive cross-sections for underground mine design.

How to use

When this command is invoked, a dialogue panel is drawn to the bottom right of the data area. It enables the user to enter parameters for rectangular, arch-shaped or circular cross-sections. The resultant cross-section shape is continuously drawn in the upper right-hand corner of the panel. Extra tag points are plotted on the cross-sections, to indicate wall perimeter positions after design with link-drive-ends. If the user accepts the current cross-section, this will be used for underground-related design commands, such as link-drive-ends, assign-cross-section and fit-cross-section.

The panel may also be used to store the current cross-section to a file, which is identical to a string file. Once a file has been supplied, the cross-sections on it can be scrolled through by use of the dialogue panel buttons.

If you want to make completely customized cross-sections, they should be defined as strings, in a plan view about the 0,0,0 position, which is the position of the drive control string relative to the cross-section.

The string should then be written out using write-string. After the cross section string file has been closed, the cross section string may be retrieved by select-cross-section for use in underground design.
