Size/Scale
To access this dialog:
-
Using the View Settings dialog, select the Scale tab.
-
Various commands requiring a view definition to be set.
This tab, part of the View Settings dialog, is used to set scaling properties for the current section view.
Field Details:
The following fields are available:
Width/Height: set the width and height of the data area with these settings. This has the effect of scaling data by shrinking or stretching the outlying frame surrounding the data, scaling the data appropriately. For example, a sheet with a data area width of 200 mm, and a height of 150 mm is affected in the following ways:
-
setting a Width of 100mm causes the overall scale to be set at 50%:
-
setting a Height of 75 mm, with the original 200mm width, causes the scale to be set to 50% as above, but the frame box is a different shape:
Total Data Extents: display the extreme points of the current hole data. You can set the from and to locations for each axis. These 6 points will define the extrapolated cube that contains viewable data.
Scale: you can either change the data scale by selecting a preset scale ratio from the drop-down list, or specify a scale using the slider bar.
By using the slider bar with the Dynamic check box selected, you can zoom in and out of the section view in real-time. |
Fit to Page: Adjust the scale to fit the specified Data Extents to the data area.
Lock Scale: Lock the current scale and disable the Scale fields (see above).
Dynamic: If selected, the section view will be updated as settings are made. If cleared, the section view will be updated when OK or Apply is selected.
