delete-file ("dfi")

See this command in the command table.

To access this command:

  • Using the command line, enter "delete-file" and press ENTER.

  • Use the quick key combination "dfi".

  • Display the Find Command screen, locate delete-file and click Run.

Command Overview

Deletes the selected Datamine files permanently from the project. See Delete File(s) from Project.

Command Automation

You can automate by passing this command and parameters into oDmApp.ParseCommand(), using any COM-aware scripting language.

Example Parameter String (JS):

oDmApp.ParseCommand("delete-file 'C:\temp\sample_file.dm' 'no'";

Where:

  • 'C:\temp\sample_file.dm' is the strFilename: string value representing the file path to target.

  • 'no' is the strYesNo: string value. Valid value: no (skips dialog execution and returns immediately). Any other value, or omission, allows dialog execution.
