Command Automation

You can automate by passing this command and parameters into oDmApp.ParseCommand(), using any COM-aware scripting language.

Note: For more information on scripting in Studio NPVS+, please refer to your Scripting Tutorial (Help > Scripting Tutorial).

Where:

  • PointsInput=PTS is the PointsInput: Object name. The object must resolve in the current project and is used as the source points data. The command does not run gridding unless this object is found.

  • AttributeColumn=AU is the AttributeColumn: Numeric column name from PointsInput. If the value is the Z coordinate column name, the command uses Z coordinates directly.

  • FaultsInput=FAULTS is the FaultsInput: Object name. When supplied and found, the object is used as fault input during gridding and output refinement.

  • ClippingInput=CLIP;KeepInsideClipping=true is the ClippingInput: Object name. When supplied and found, the object is used as clipping polygon input. KeepInsideClipping controls which side of the clipping polygons is kept.

  • Azimuth=0 is the Azimuth: Numeric angle in degrees. It defines the contouring plane rotation about the Z axis.

  • Dip=0 is the Dip: Numeric angle in degrees. It defines the contouring plane dip rotation.

  • StringOutput=AU_CONTOURS;GridOutput=AU_GRID;SurfaceOutput=AU_SURFACE is the Output target parameters: Select what the command creates. At least one output target must be supplied to create output.

  • GriddingAlgorithm=MinimumCurvature;GriddingEstimation=Slope;SmoothingMethod=Biharmonic;SmoothingPasses=1 is the Gridding algorithm parameters: Control how the input values are interpolated, including gridding algorithm, estimation, smoothing method, smoothing passes, and trend polynomial order.

  • AutoExtent=true;Margin=0;CustomCellSize=false;CellsAcrossX=100;CellsAcrossY=100 is the Grid extent and resolution parameters: Define the generated grid area and cell size, including automatic extents, margin, custom cell size, and cell counts or widths.

  • UseSearchEllipse=false;SearchRotation=0;RotationMajor=1;RotationMinor=1;RotationMinSamples=1 is the Search ellipse parameters: Control optional search ellipse behaviour for non-trend gridding.

  • UseCustomContourExtents=false;ContourStringMode=Fixed;ContourStringIntervals=10;ContourStringOffset=0;ContourElevationMode=Attribute;ContourRefinement=5;ContourUpToFaults=false;ContourFaultRefinement=5 is the Contour-string output parameters: Used when StringOutput is supplied. These include contour extents, contour mode, intervals, offsets, elevation mode, fault handling, and refinement settings.

  • UseCustomGridElevation=false;GridFaultRefinement=1;GridLegendMode=FromContours;GridLegendSchemeName=;GridLegendDistributionMode=Linear;GridLegendBinCount=100 is the Grid output parameters: Used when GridOutput is supplied. These include custom grid elevation limits, fault refinement, and grid legend settings.

  • SurfaceFaultRefinement=1;SurfaceTolerance=0 is the Surface output parameters: Used when SurfaceOutput is supplied. These include surface fault refinement and surface tolerance settings.

More Information

  • The parser only recognizes fields written as exactly one key=value pair separated by semicolons. Unknown keys are ignored.
  • Boolean parsing is case-insensitive through lower-casing; true and yes are true, and other values are false.
  • The source parser accepts AttributeColumn and KeepInsideClipping; shorter names such as Attribute or KeepInside are not parsed by this command.
