reduction-percentage ("pre")

See this command in the command table.

To access this command:

  • Digitize ribbon > Condition > Condition > Reduction Percentage.

  • Using the command line, enter "reduction-percentage" and press ENTER.

  • Use the quick key combination "pre".

  • Display the Find Command screen, locate reduction-percentage and click Run.

Command Overview

Used in conjunction with the reduce-points command. Specifies the percentage reduction for that command, where higher values tend to reduce the string points more than lower values.

Tip: consider the simplify-string as an alternative to string conditioning.

Displays the Percentage Reduction screen.

Command Automation

You can automate by passing this command and parameters into oDmApp.ParseCommand(), using any COM-aware scripting language.

Example Parameter String (JS):

oDmApp.ParseCommand("reduction-percentage '25.0'";

Where:

  • '25.0' is the strReductionPercentage: a string value parsed as numeric percentage. Valid bounds are 0 to 100 inclusive. Special absent value '-' stores absent data state.
