Project Default Settings

To access this screen:

  • Optimization ribbon >> Project >> Default Settings.

  • Home ribbon >> Optimization >> Default Settings.

Define default settings for new projects or when working subsequently with existing projects.

Default project directory

The directory where you store your projects and related case study data.

Terminology

Choose between displaying Ore/Grades or Raw material/Qualities on screens and in reports.

Default grade type on import Choose how grades are displayed in reports, either as a Grade or Percentage.
Units of measure

Enter the units that you wish to see in your projects and reports.

Annual discounting

The discount rate, for example: 15%, commonly used by your organization.

Visualization

Choose the Number of surfaces to show without asking when visualizing 3D surface data. A greater number of surfaces must exist in a selected object before you are prompted to show a subset of data. A lower number means a prompt is more likely.

Geological Risk Assesment

Select Enable export of simulated pit shells to force the GRA Risk Rated Pits tool to create a 3D Object identifying the pit shells for the reference grades and for all simulated grades; the object can be viewed or exported.

Document Options Automatically remove views when closing document – Automatically remove views when closing the document.

Report templates folder – Browse for a folder in which to store report templates. Disabled if the Reports window is open.

Tip: Save a report template using the context menu provided when clicking a value in a reporting table value cell.

Data Option

Select Copy all imported file to NPVS project Data directory to force your application to copy all imported files to your local data folder as part of importation. Selected by default. If unchecked, data remains (only) in its original location.

Haulage truck options

Depending on the option you select, when you click on the Haulage Info... task, your application will ask you if you have one or two types of trucks (Ask on opening haulage dialogs, the default setting), automatically Use one truck type or automatically Use different truck types for ore and waste.

Material Allocation Optimizer default settings

Not used in SNPVS+.

Batch run options Choose the Number of cores to utilize when processing multiple scenarios as part of a Batch Run.
