Economic Settings: Product Recovery
To access this screen:
-
Display the Economic Settings and select any product tab.
-
Select a processing method.
-
Click Parameters.
-
Select a product tab.
Note: The Costs tab of this screen relates to processing costs for the previously defined processing methods for the selected ore type. See Economic Settings: Processing Costs.
The settings on this screen are specific to a product, allowing you to define recovery settings as a fraction of the total processing costs, or based on the results of a defined formula.
Activity steps:
-
Display the Product Recovery screen for the appropriate product.
-
You can either enter a recovery Fraction (not a percentage on this screen) or use a Formula. Whether defined directly, or by a formula, recovery fraction can never exceed 1.
-
Select Fraction to enter a fixed fractional value. You can also specify a Delayed Recovery value using the Delay Recovery screen.
-
Click Formula to either Set Formula (if none exists) or Edit Formula (if one already exists. See Formulae.
Note: In some cases, formulae may not work properly if the decimal symbol is set to comma (,) rather than period (.) in the Windows Regional settings.
-
-
Optionally, set a product-specific Additional (downstream) processing cost. This can be defined either as an explicit Unit cost value ($/g) or a Formula.
-
Define Optional Parameters:
-
Include <Product> in the cut-off tests – If you have multiple products and have opted for direct control of cutoff grades, you can exclude some products from the tests. To exclude this product, uncheck this.
-
Minimum cutoff – The effective cutoff is set to the greater of two numbers; the value entered here and the Economic Cutoff. This option is available only with the ore tests other than Revenue exceeds Rehabilitation Costs.
-
Maximum cutoff – The effective cutoff is set to the smaller of two numbers; the value entered here and the Economic Cutoff. This option is available only for ore tests other than Revenue exceeds Rehabilitation Costs.
