Define Elements

Note: This information relates to the import of a geological model.

To access this screen:

• The Define Elements screen is presented as the second stage of field mapping during block model import or refreshing.

Elements (products and attributes) can be brought into your application as grades (e.g. grams/ton), percentages or mass.

For each Element, choose what the values contained within the model database represent, selecting one of the following:

• Grade (products or attributes)

• Percentage (products or attributes)

• Mass (products only)

Note: This selection is important as it controls much of the later stages of the optimization workflow. It is possible to refresh your database with an updated model, but ideally, before importation, you are confident of the selection of element type and it is unlikely to change.

Click Next to proceed to the Define Units screen.
