Define Slopes for Region
To access this screen:
-
On the Pit Optimization Settings: Slopes screen, select a 3D region and click Parameters.
Define the slope constraints permissible for a selected 3D region, including the general maximum permitted slope angle for the region and azimuth-specific angles.
For a more detailed explanation of the slope definition process, see Pit Optimization.
To define slope constraints for a specific 3D region:
-
Display the Define Slopes for Region screen.
Note: The code of the 3D region being configured appears in brackets in the title bar.
-
Specify a Max allowable slope angle error (between 0.5 and 10.0 degrees).
Note: This value is used to determine an optimal filter to use in ultimate pit generation.
-
If azimuth-specific slope angles are relevant, define up to 20 Azimuths (between 0 and 359 degrees) and the corresponding Slope angles (between 0 and 90 degrees).
-
Click OK to return to the Slopes screen.
-
Continue defining pit optimization settings.
