Validating drillhole data

Drillhole data files are automatically validated when they are first imported.

Validation information is reported in the Validation column of the report for each imported table.

Tip: To run the validation tests again on the Command control bar, type validation-report and press Enter.

Validation Tests

The following validation tests are applied to the drillhole object. Depending on the result, the validation process either reports the issue or extends the trace.

  • Collars

    • If the missing holes test reports holes missing, the issue is reported.

    • If all desurvey fields exist, the data is desurveyed.

  • Surveys

    • If the missing holes test reports holes missing, the issue is reported.

    • If all desurvey fields exist, the data is desurveyed.

  • Traces

    • If the missing holes test returns false, the issue is reported.

  • Assays

    • If the missing holes test reports holes missing, the issue is reported.

    • If gaps exist, the issue is reported.

    • If overlaps exist, the issue is reported.

    • If the hole length exceeds the trace, the trace is extended.

  • Lithology

    • If the missing holes test reports holes missing, the issue is reported.

    • If gaps exist, the issue is reported.

    • If overlaps exist, the issue is reported.

    • If the hole length exceeds the trace, the trace is extended.

  • Interval log

    • If the missing holes test reports holes missing, the issue is reported.

    • If gaps exist, the issue is reported.

    • If overlaps exist, the issue is reported.

    • If the hole length exceeds the trace, the trace is extended.

  • Depth log

    • If the missing holes test reports holes missing, the issue is reported.

    • If gaps exist, the issue is reported.

    • If overlaps exist, the issue is reported.

    • If the hole length exceeds the trace, the trace is extended.

Correcting Errors
