Downhole Formatting: Trace

The information in this topic applies to both the Log View Properties screen, on the Columns tab, and the Format Downhole screen for 3D window formatting.

Use the Trace settings to display a single downhole trace alongside existing sample data. This can help you compare one attribute with another visual attribute, such as rock type against fragmentation index or porosity.

Note: These settings apply to the currently active 3D window and all linked external windows. Independent windows are not affected.

To configure trace display style:

1. Open the trace formatting settings from the downhole column formatting workflow.

2. For the trace colour, choose one of the following options:

   • Select Fixed Color to use a single colour for the trace.

   • Select Legend to colour the trace using a legend.

3. Click Apply to view the changes.
