Aligning plot sheet sections to known points
A plot sheet's section definition can be interactively aligned with specific points without changing other section properties. A series of sections is defined by the current center point and the section width, i.e. if the current section is vertical at a northing of zero with a width of 50 then other sections will have center points of ... -100, -50, 0, 50, 100 ....
With a plot sheet displayed in the Plots window, the following commands can be used to adjust the position of a section:
-
Use the Section | Includecommand to move to the section that contains the selected hole collar or intercept. The existing section center points are not changed.

-
Use the Plot View ribbon's Section | Mid-Point command to move the center point of the current section to a new position in the view plane. The selected point becomes the new section center point.

The Move to Include Point command selects the section without changing the section definition, whereas the Move to New Center Point command re-aligns all section center points in the view. |
