Import Bench Surface

To access this screen:

  • Display the Define Benches screen.

  • Using the Bench Definition task panel, select the Surfaces option, then Add New Bench.

This screen is used to select an existing 3D surface (wireframe) to define a bench within your open pit project. This screen is accessed as part of the Bench Definition managed task when defining benches based on 3D surfaces.

Once a surface (filtered or otherwise) has been imported, it is analysed and the following information posted back to the Define Benches task table:

Activity steps:

  1. Display the Import Bench Surface screen.

  2. Browse for a Surface file. Select a wireframe triangles file containing bench data.

  3. Specify a Filter if your input file contains data from multiple benches, or you wish to filter the incoming information for any other reason. Click browse to display Studio's Expression Builder. This allows you to control which elements of the data file are imported in order to define a single bench.

  4. Click OK.

  5. In the Bench Definition task, save your settings.
