Manage Pits

To access this screen:

  • Setup ribbon >> Pits >> Manage.

The Manage Pits task allows you to define the pits in your project.

By default, Studio OP provides one pit called "Pit 1". A project may contain one or multiple pits that are in close proximity to each other which are related to each other operationally. A pit, in the context of the Reserves Workflow, is one or more contiguous mining phases or pushbacks.

Note: It is inadvisable to add multiple, non-associated pits to the same project.

As with all managed tasks, updates made on this panel are committed to your project using the Save (1) or Save and Close (2) buttons at the top of the form. You can also Close without saving (3).

Activity steps:

  1. Display the Manage Pits screen.

  2. Review the available pits. To add one, click Add and set a custom name if required (by editing the table).

  3. Save your task settings.

  4. Save your project.
