set-face-advance-method ("adm")

To access this command:

  • Using the command line, enter "set-face-advance-method" and press ENTER.

  • Use the quick key combination "exl".

  • Display the Find Command screen, locate set-face-advance-method and click Run.

Command Overview

Set the advance method for mining faces.

Faces can be advanced in one of the following ways: NORMAL or STRIKE advance.

  • If a face is advanced using the NORMAL method, the new face is constructed parallel to the original face.

  • If a face is advanced using the STRIKE method, the face is constructed perpendicular to the side of the original perimeter.

When selecting this command, you are prompted to select faces to modify. The prompt displayed indicates the current advance setting for the face.

Note: When a face is initially defined, it is set to advance using the NORMAL method.
