All string fragments that are created with this command will stay within the original object. The broken segments will not be moved to another object nor will a new object created.

If custom attributes exist on the string being broken, both resulting segments will contain the custom attributes. COLOUR, LSTYLE and SYMBOL attributes will also persist in the two segments.

How to Use

  1. Run the command.

note.gif (1017 bytes) The message area of the Status bar will prompt either for a "...BREAK point on ANY string" if there is not a selected string, or for a "...BREAK point on SELECTED string" if there is a selected string.
  1. Select the break point, and the string will be broken there.
