Description

Creates a closed wireframe which surrounds the volume underneath the "Upper DTM" and above the "Lower DTM". The DTMs need to intersect fully (a clear and closed line of intersection must exist) to be used with this command - no check will be made for incomplete intersections and processing such data could give rise to unexpected results.

This command displays the Volume under DTM dialog.

Note: This command supports flexible wireframe selection.

How to Use

  1. If you plan to generate a closed volume based on a subset of wireframe data, you can either select wireframe triangles before or after launching the command, but before executing the command.

  2. Select which object represents the Upper DTM (for example, the original, unmined topography). This can either be a loaded object or Selected triangles (which can come from any object or objects).

If using triangle data, you will need to commit the selection to the command using the Store current selection button.

  3. Select which object or triangle data (again, select then Store current selection)  represents the Lower DTM (for example, the resulting surface after prestripping).

  4. you can output the calculated closed volume either within the Current object, an existing wireframe object (pick it from the list) or a new object (type a new name).

  5. Click OK to generate the volume between the upper and lower surface
