Description

This command is used to define groups containing one or more lithology values. This command displays the Group Lithology dialog.

The lithology values are contained in a selected key field/attribute and group information is stored in a separate Group Field attribute. You can use this command to add a group field if one does not already exist.

Non-grouped items are selected on the left, and added to a new or existing group on the right. Group contents can be modified and groups can be deleted.

The input to this command is a desurveyed file containing a key field defining non-grouped lithologies. The output is an updated file containing a group attribute, populated with lithology grouping information.

How to Use

  1. Run this command.

  2. Select a loaded desurveyed drillhole file.

  3. Select an attribute containing lithology information.

  4. If a grouping field does not yet exist for the selected input file, create one with Add Field. If one exists, select it using the Group Field drop-down list.

  5. If required, create a group using Add.

  6. Add one or more lithology values to a group using the > button. You can remove lithologies from a group by selecting and clicking <, or you can delete values from a group. You can assign one or more lithologies at the same time by selecting multiple items in the left hand list.

  7. Save your progress.
