Digitizing Features

Features may be digitized onto a plot.

Digitizing can be carried out over any number of plans, sections and views. It may commence in a plan and be continued in a section or even a depth, or interval table.

• 3D Features can only be added to section views.

• You must have a mouse or similar pointing device attached to your computer.

To add a geological feature string to your plot projection:

1. Deactivate Page Layout mode.
2. Right-click a projection and select Insert >> Geological Feature and then pick a category, for example Stratum.
3. Using the left button, click, release, move and repeat to define a line of points in a section view.

4. To end digitizing, right-click and choose Apply from the context menu.

   Tip: You can also end digitizing by double-clicking.
