Blasts Summary

To access this screen:

  • Survey Reports ribbon >> Open Pit >> Blast >> Blasts Summary.

  • Run the command "survey-blasts-summary".

  • Use the quick-key combination "svb".

  • Display the Find Command screen, locate survey-blasts-summary and click Run.

For open pit scenarios, summarize a collection of existing blast calculations as specified by a date range, including optional calculated blasted stocks. The output is a blast summary report as an Excel® worksheet.

The context of the summary report is defined using the top of the panel. A pit and area must be specified (by default, the current pit and area are set). A Surveyor and Report Date are also required. The latter will default to the current date.

A range of inclusive dates is set using the From and To date pickers.

Note: For each blast, only the latest report which falls within the specified date range is considered

Once an inclusive range is defined, you can load the corresponding blast wireframes into the primary 3D window using the arrow button, if you wish to visualize them.

Generate the output data and reports using Calculate (to show the output files straight away) or add the blast summary report to the batch process for downstream generation with other items (Add to Batch).

Demonstration Data

A default blast summary worksheet template is installed with Studio Survey. It can be found here (assuming a default installation has been performed):

C:\Program Files\Datamine\StudioSurvey\Templates\Settings\Blasts Summary\Excel Templates\Template 1

You can choose which files are displayed when a blast summary report is previewed using the Database Settings panel. You can select from the following:

  • Datamine Report (a Datamine binary table showing calculated results).

  • Excel Report (formatted using the specified template).

  • PDF Report (a PDF version of the above).

  • File Explorer (if enabled, opens Windows to show generated blast summary files).

Blasted Stocks Calculator

Calculate blasted stocks by checking Blasted Stocks Calculator.

  • Opening stocks can be from an existing (or <latest>) blasts summary, or an entered value. Where no summaries exist, an entered value is required.
  • Net Mined Volume can be from an existing (or <latest>) Pit Actual report, or an entered value. Where no Pit Actual reports exist, a user-entered value is required.

Calculated stocks are contained within the generated Report_BlastSummary.dm table and (if your reporting template is configured to do so) the output summary Excel sheet.
