Block Model Options

To display this screen:

  • In any EOM reporting task, choose the "..." button next to the Select a Block Model File label.

Optionally, you can include evaluation results in EOM published reports.

To do this, a block model must be specified. Once that's done, evaluated volumes, tonnages and grades can be calculated from the volumes generated by your reporting task and the model.

Evaluation categories are derived from an evaluation legend, also specified on this screen.

To specify a block model for EOM reporting:

  1. Display the required EOM reporting task.

  2. In the Calculation Options command group, check Use block model file for reporting.

  3. Click the "..." button to open the Block Model Options screen.

  4. Use the browse button to select a Datamine block model file.

  5. Use the menu immediately below to pick an evaluation legend that is suitable for the specified model.

  6. Use the following menu to select an attribute against which an evaluation is to be performed.

Note: You can also edit, display and create a default legend using the tools provided. This launches the Legends Manager, which has a dedicated help system.

  7. Choose if f you want to include extraction volume in your report where it falls outside the block model:

    1. If Include volume outside model in report is checked, the void volume(s) will be reported using the Outside model density that you specify. By default, this is "1" but this can be altered.

    2. If Include volume outside model in report is unchecked, evaluated results relating to void volumes are excluded from evaluation results and will not appear in published report data.

  8. Click OK to return to your reporting task.
