Combine Reports

Collate previous EOM reports into a single file

Combine Reports

To access this dialog:

  • Activate the Reports ribbon and select Combine Reports

This task can be used to combine previously generated EOM PDF reports into a single PDF file. You can filter the contents of your database using one or more options. For example, you could combine all Pit Actual and Blast Summary reports for a quarter for all pits and areas, or show all reports for a specific ROM in the past year for a specific area, and so on. You can also just collate the most recent reports of each type in the current database.

This facility is available for open pit and underground data EOM reports.

Generating a combined report is a matter of giving the report a name, setting a report date, defining database filters then compiling a list of items to include (and in which order). Reports can be picked from any previously generated PDF output for the currently connected database (all reports from all pits, areas and ROMs are available).

The Selected Reports list is a subset of the reports shown above. Pick items from top to bottom and, if required, reorder using the move up/down buttons. Items in this list are not affected by filter choices above.

Field Details:

At the top of the form, you are shown the Current Pit, Current Area and Current ROM selection. This defines the reporting scope. You can edit the current scope using the supplied browse buttons, each of which access the Database Settings panel.

Report Title: the name of the combined report. Also used for the output PDF filename.

Report Date: defaulting to today's date, this is the date associated with the combined report.

Available Reports: the check boxes in this region will, if enabled, filter the contents of the database according to a criterion. Options are split into open pit and underground categories.

Open Pit options include:

  • Filter by Pit: if enabled, select a Pit from your database to filter data. Only data corresponding to the selected pit will be displayed below.

  • Filter by Area: show reports associated with a particular pit area. If disabled, all areas of a pit (or all pits) will be displayed)

  • Filter by ROM: show reports associated with a particular ROM. If disabled, all ROMs of a pit (or all pits) will be displayed)

Underground options include:

  • Filter by Decline: if enabled, select a Decline from your database to filter data. Only data corresponding to the selected decline will be displayed below.

  • Filter by Area: show reports associated with a particular underground development area. If disabled, all areas of a pit (or all pits) will be displayed)

  • Filter by Level: show reports associated with a particular underground level. If disabled, all levels of an area (if specified) or decline (if specified) will be displayed.

  • Filter by Stope: show reports associated with a particular stope. If disabled, all stopes that pass the more general filters above will be displayed below..

The following options are available for both open pit and underground projects:

  • Filter by Report: filter the list to show only reports of a particular type, e.g. Compliance to Plan

  • Filter by Date: specify an inclusive date range to filter report selection. By default, both from and to values are the current date.

  • Filter by Latest: if enabled, only the latest report of each type will be listed.

Filters are inclusive: a report will be shown if it passes all specified criteria. Once added to the Selected Reports list, however, it will not be affected by subsequent filter changes. For example, if you wish to show a list of all Pit Actual and EOM ROM reports in the database (but not the other types), you could use the Filter by Report option to first add all [Pit Actual] reports to the list, then swap to the [EOM ROM] option and add them afterwards.

Select one ore more reports in the Available Reports list (use <CTRL> and <SHIFT> for multiple selections, or left-click-drag) and click "+" to transfer them (in their current order) to the end of the Selected Reports list.

If one report is selected, you can view it using the button on the right (not available if multiple items are selected).

Selected Reports: contains items added from the Available Reports list above. A combined report will be generated using the top-bottom order shown here. You can edit the contents and order of this list using the buttons on the right. If you want to add a PDF document to your report (say, a standard glossary or operations overview) from outside your database, click the "+" button to display a file browser. Add any PDF document in the position you need.
