Create or Access a Database

Warning: changing the current database will update your Project Data bar and all report data scope settings.

Activity Steps:

1. Open the Settings screen.
2. Select the Database Settings >> Database tab.
3. To create a new database:
   1. Browse (...) to a local or network folder to host your database. This cannot be an existing database location and OK.
   2. Click Initialize.
      
      A new, empty database will be created in the target folder.
   3. Click OK to update your current project session.

4. To access an existing database:

   1. Browse (...) to a local or network folder that hosts an existing database.

   2. Click OK to update your current project session.
5. Save your project to reinstate the new database connection when the project is reopened.
