SIM - Upload Leica Job

To access this screen:

  • Using the Home ribbon, click Survey Import >> Import Survey. Select the Leica >> Upload Job menu option.

The Survey Import Module (SIM) is used to import and manage survey station data and connect to survey equipment data. The Upload to Instrument panel is used to upload Studio Survey database information to designated survey equipment.

Upload a Job

Activity steps:

  1. Set Output Format to the required export type: Leica DBX, Leica GSI, FLD, DXF, or RefSet.

  2. If you selected Leica DBX, Leica GSI, or FLD, set these fields:

    • Input Data Type: choose String File, Station Database, or Digital Terrain Model.

    • Input Filename: select the corresponding Datamine input file.

    • Output Directory: select the destination folder, usually the SD card location.

    • Job Name: enter a job name for the uploaded data.

    • Use Job Name as a Directory: enable this for DBX if required.

  3. If you selected DXF, configure:

    • String filename.

    • String range, if required.

    • DXF output filename including full output path.

  4. If you selected RefSet, configure:

    • Input filename.

    • String range, or leave blank for all strings.

    • Point Id from.

    • Upload name.

    • DBX file to card, GSI file to card, STR file to card, and PDA copy options as needed.

  5. Run the upload after confirming all required fields for the selected format.
