Manually controlling the movement of a VR Object

Control Object

Control Object mode is used to 'drive' any mobile 3D Object along a terrain or excavation surface. While in Control Object mode, additional secondary modes can be used to control the user's view relative to the object as follows:

The vehicle speed and direction is controlled by the keyboard navigation controls, and the view direction by the mouse:

Rotate View (inside)

Left Mouse + Drag Left/Right

Pitch View (outside)

Left+Right Mouse + Drag Up/Down

 

To start Control mode

  1. Choose the Inside View of the Object to be driven.

  2. Right-click the Object (vehicle) in theSheetscontrol bar's 3D Objects folder and selectControl.

  • The maximum speed, acceleration, turn rate, climb angle and roll angle are set in the Object Type properties dialog.
