Using Information Mode to display 3D object field values in the VR window


Information Mode

To set this mode, use one of the following:

  • Activate the Home ribbon and select Query | Dynamic

The Information Mode dialog is used to display data column values associated with the selected points on a 3D object displayed in the 3D window.

If no data columns have been specified for a loaded object, using the Info Mode List dialog, , when Information Mode is used, right-clicking it in the 3D window will display all available data columns by default.

  • This command is used in conjunction with the Info Mode List dialog, which used to first define which data columns are displayed and in what order. This needs to be done before the Information Mode command is used.

  • When the mouse is dragged with Information Mode active, the coordinates of the mouse (in world coordinates) are shown on the Status Bar.

 

Using Information Mode

  1. Activate theHomeribbon and selectReport| Dynamic

  2. In the 3D window, click and drag the cursor across the required object(s),

  3. View the data column values in the displayed information dialog.

  4. Press <Esc> to exit Information Mode.
