Command Overview

Define a rectangle by height, width, azimuth and anchor point, then position it in a 3D window interactively. The four vertices of the rectangle align with the currently active section.

Tip: use right-clicking to snap your rectangle to an existing landmark position in a 3D window, such as the end of a drive string, for example.

Command Steps:

  1. Run the command.

    The Create Rectangle screen displays.

  2. Define the Width and Height of your rectangle. This is in relation to the reference point (see below).

  3. Choose the rotation of your rectangle by setting an Azimuth. This is the rotation relates to the angle of the left-hand vertical edge of the rectangle as viewed orthogonally to the active section.

  4. Use the Select Reference Point preview to pick an anchor point. This is the point, in relation to your selected 3D window position (see below) that the rectangle is drawn.

  5. Click in any 3D window (left or right click or stylus equivalent) to position your rectangle.

  6. Add multiple rectangles of the same specification by clicking in multiple 3D locations.

  7. Click Done to close the command.
