Description

Make ramp connecting two points, according to supplied criteria.

How to use

After identifying the beginning and end points of the ramp with the cursor, the user is asked to enter the starting azimuth, the final azimuth, the turning radius, and the ramp gradient. There are three different types of solution, according to which of these input parameters are left absent :-

If the user just leaves the gradient absent, a single turn ramp will be generated, with the calculated gradient reported.

If the user leaves either the initial or final azimuth absent, a single turn ramp will be generated at the supplied gradient, with the missing azimuth being calculated as required.

If all parameters are supplied, and if it is possible, a ramp consisting of three straight sections and two turns will be created. The middle straight section will be parallel to a line joining the beginning and end points. The ramp will exactly match the supplied gradient.
