Application Directories and Files

Supervisor uses application-specific directories in which log files, user configuration file, library files, template files and other system-defined files are stored.

Supervisor stores files in the following directories.

• Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows Vista and Windows 7 – C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Supervisor

• Windows XP – C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Supervisor

Note: In these directories <user> is your name.

The files stored in this directory are:

• Options.xml – Stores the component default settings. See Default Components.
• <User>.config – User configuration file containing system and module specific user configuration options.
• Layout.txt – Layout of the windows of the last used project.

The main sub-directories in this directory are:

• Logs – Stores the log files. Each separate session creates a sub-directory with a date and time stamp.
• Library – Default library directory to hold the library data files. See Libraries.
• Templates – Default template directory to hold template files. See Templates.
