Configure a Legend

The Legend tab is common to all graph components that contain a colour legend or a legend to identify overlaid graphs.

Note: The Legend tab only displays on graphs that have an active Colour Key selected in the main plot tab (for example, the Histo tab for a histogram) or overlain graphs.

Activity Steps

  1. Display the graph.
  2. In the Property Panel, select the Legend tab.
  3. Configure the following options as required.
    • Show – Whether to show the legend.
    • Title – Whether to show the title above the legend.
    • Title Name
    • Draw border – Whether to draw a border around the legend.
    • Transparent – Whether to make the legend transparent. Draw border mush be checked for this option to be available.
    • Selected – Whether the legend is selected. This is used when there are multiple legends.
    • Draw in thumbnail – Whether to draw the legend in thumbnail drawing mode.
    • Font – Click the ellipsis (...) to select a font.
    • Location – The location in % of the window. Using % of the window size makes the legend scale to the window.
    • Size – The size of the legend in % of the window.

      Note: You can also click and drag the legend on the Main Canvas to move it, or select the legend and use the draggers in the corners of the legend selection box to resize it.

    • Corner location – Click one the check boxes to position the legend in the corresponding corner.
