Colour Key Library

Colour Keys are used in Supervisor to colour graphs and 3D objects. The Colour Key library can be accessed through the Options Tab.

The Colour Key library is meant for colour keys that you want to re-use across projects, or across users (if the colour key file is kept on a network location accessible by multiple users). Use the Project Colour Keys for project-specific colouring. See Project Colour Key Library.

There are two type of colour keys.

  1. Numeric Colour Keys – Colours are defined by numeric intervals (or bins).
  2. String Colour Keys – Colours are defined by unique strings in the key.

Colour Keys double up as size keys, which can be used to increase or decrease the relative size of objects.

Tip: When assigning Colour Keys to plots and 3D objects, the Colour Keys from the Colour Key library take priority over Colour Keys from the project.
