Data Loading Library

The Data Loading library contains settings to help you load your data quickly and efficiently. These settings are applied to all datasets across all projects and are saved to an external file. The Data Loading library can be accessed through the Libraries tab in the Component Options panel. For more information on libraries and how library data is managed see Libraries.

The Data Loading library contains the following windows.

• Column Definitions Window – Has a table containing the definitions of loaded columns. Each time a dataset is loaded the settings in this table are updated with those from the Data Loader Component's Column Definition Table.
• Data Grouping Window – Has two tables that define data grouping settings. Data grouping allows you to quickly create a hierarchy of grouped data components. The library provides the most common grouping, but allows you to customise and add new grouping entries.
• Merge Domains Window – Data Loading Library – Allows you to save and reuse domain merging settings.
• Special Characters Window – Allows you to define (odd) characters or strings for the data loader to interpret in pre-defined ways.
• Mapping Types Window – Allows you to set up column mapping types. Mapping types allow analysis components to interpret column data in specific ways. For example, the mapping types of X, Y, and Z are interpreted as data containing spatial X, Y, and Z coordinates, respectively.
